The short version
ClipTrack saves supported text and images from your clipboard on your Windows device. Clipboard text and images are not included in optional telemetry reports. Sharing diagnostic, profile, location, system, or usage information is optional and controlled by the categories you select in the app. Microsoft Store services and any external links have their own privacy practices.
1. Who we are and what this covers
ClipTrack is a Windows clipboard history application owned and provided by Aonetara, Pune – 411041, India. Aonetara is responsible for information it receives through ClipTrack’s optional data-sharing features, this product website, and support correspondence.
This policy covers the ClipTrack application and this ClipTrack website. It explains the current application’s behavior; it does not describe Microsoft’s independent processing or the practices of other applications from which you copy information.
Privacy contact: support@aonetara.com.
2. Clipboard history on your device
While running, including while hidden in the system tray, ClipTrack monitors Windows clipboard change notifications. It can read and save supported copied text and images, together with the capture time and content type, so you can browse, search, and copy them again.
- Local storage: text and metadata are saved in a local clipboard-history database; image captures are saved as image files in the application’s data folder.
- No clipboard-content upload: copied text and captured images are not fields in ClipTrack’s optional telemetry payload and are not intentionally sent to Aonetara as clipboard history.
- No ClipTrack cloud sync: ClipTrack does not provide a service that synchronizes clipboard history between devices. Windows, device backups, roaming profiles, or other software may separately manage or copy files under their own settings.
- Duplicate detection: the app compares consecutive text captures and uses an image fingerprint to identify repeated image captures. That comparison takes place locally and is not a cloud-processing feature.
Important: history may contain personal or sensitive information you copy, including passwords, account details, or confidential text. Do not rely on automatic exclusion of secrets. Delete unwanted entries, or exit ClipTrack before copying material you do not want captured. Hiding the window does not stop capture.
4. Other services and recipients
Microsoft Store and Windows
Installation, updates, purchases, and entitlement checks may communicate with Microsoft through Windows and Microsoft Store services. Microsoft processes information under its own privacy statement. ClipTrack receives the licensing information made available by the Store; the app does not receive your payment-card details.
Optional approximate-location lookup
If you enable location sharing, the current app requests an IP-based lookup from ip-api.com. That service receives your public IP address and request details. The present implementation uses an HTTP lookup, which is not an encrypted HTTPS connection. You can leave the Location category disabled and continue using the clipboard features. See the provider’s legal and privacy information.
Hosting and support
Website and report-collection hosting services process requests as part of operating those services. Aonetara may also receive information you choose to email for support. Do not send passwords, private clipboard exports, or sensitive screenshots unless necessary for your request.
This website and ClipTrack’s optional reports do not include an advertising network or a third-party advertising SDK. If you follow a link to another site, that site’s policy applies to the information you provide there.
5. Retention and deletion
Local history
History is subject to the retention period configured in ClipTrack, within the limit available for your edition or entitlement. Expired entries and associated saved images are removed by the app’s cleanup process while it is running; this is not a background deletion service when the app is closed.
You can delete selected entries, clear clipboard history, or clear saved images using the available controls. Clearing saved images removes the saved image files; text history is managed separately. Ordinary file or database deletion is not a guarantee of forensic erasure. Backups or copies made by Windows or other software may remain outside ClipTrack’s control.
Optional reports and support messages
The supplied collection service appends reports to server-side logs and does not currently define an automatic age-based expiry. Support messages may remain in support correspondence. To ask about or request deletion of information held by Aonetara, contact support@aonetara.com. Identifying the report or correspondence may be necessary to locate it.
Turning off data sharing stops future optional reports; it does not by itself recall reports already sent. Deleting sharing settings in the app resets local sharing choices, rather than deleting server-side records.
6. Security and access
Your Windows account, device protections, and file-system permissions help control access to local history. ClipTrack does not provide a separate encrypted clipboard vault or a separate history password. A person or program with access to your application data may be able to read it.
The Aonetara report-upload endpoint uses HTTPS. The optional IP-location lookup described above currently uses HTTP. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your Windows account and device, and be cautious about keeping sensitive clipboard material.
7. This website
The supplied ClipTrack website uses locally served images, styles, and scripts. Its code does not set tracking cookies, embed advertising, or load an analytics script. Navigation, screenshot theme switching, and screenshot enlargement run in your browser and do not require an account or send your clipboard history.
Your hosting provider still receives the information needed to serve a web request, such as IP address, user agent, requested page, and request time; these may appear in standard server or security logs. Microsoft Store links and email links open services with their own data-handling practices.
8. Your choices
- Use About → Data Sharing to decline optional sharing or allow only selected categories.
- Use Settings to adjust available retention and startup choices.
- Delete individual clips or clear local history when you no longer need it.
- Choose Exit to stop ClipTrack capturing further clipboard changes.
- Contact Aonetara about access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests concerning information it holds. The options available may depend on your location and applicable requirements.
ClipTrack’s local clipboard features do not require you to create an Aonetara account. A Microsoft account may be required for Microsoft Store transactions or services.
9. Changes to this policy
This page may be updated as ClipTrack and its services change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Changes to optional data-sharing behavior should be reflected in the application’s disclosures and controls as well as this policy.
